Doom eternal is a sequel to the 2016 Doom and Bethesda has taken the original formula that they used before and just made it better. The gameplay is faster, more chaotic, full of monsters, and has a great soundtrack. Demons have invaded earth and mars; you play as the Doom Slayer (DS) and have to save humanity from extinction by
destroying everything in your way. There’s also a multiplayer called battlemode where you can play as the DS or one of the demon characters it’s a 2 vs 1 cage match with some easy enemies around the map for ammo. I haven’t really touched the multiplayer since I’m still finishing the campaign, it’s fairly fun, but difficult, I recommend you try it out if you have the game and haven’t played it.

The game has a better story than the previous game, essentially the Doom Slayer is like humanities savior and is looked at as an unstoppable force by all the people. Throughout the game you will fight on earth, mars, and also hell throughout the game and the level designs are great. The cities you go to on earth are all destroyed with huge monsters just roaming in the background. The character design is also awesome, the Doom Slayer and all the demons look great. The Doom Slayer also has a Justice League watchtower type of headquarters called the fortress of doom orbiting earth.

As you play through the campaign, you’ll unlock more weapons and which means more ways to kill your enemies. To be effective you have to use your entire arsenal of weapons like the flamethrower and the chainsaw so you can get shield and ammo while also getting a few glory kills for more health. There are also skills and runes to unlock in the game, the skills are unlocked by finding praetor suit coins around the level and runes are found around the levels as well. You can also customize the Doom Slayer by finding/unlocking new skins, for instance there is a classic Doom marine skin and also a zombie Slayer skin.

Overall, I think this is a solid game with good graphics and smooth gameplay that is extremely brutal at times, but in a good way since hes killing demons. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes brutal, fast-paced, Non-stop, shoot-em up action games.
